I've been trying these Quest bars to find my favorite flavors and this definitely makes the list. The consistency depends on the environment they are left in (room temperature=Normal protein bar, warm day/left in car=squishy, cold day/left in fridge=rock hard jaw workout) The taste is great. It tastes almost like a healthy Almond Joy bar. The protein supplement taste is in there, but it blends well with the coconut and cashew flavors. Definitely try these.
Good flavor, if you don't mind gnawing on food, 1/18/2013 7:56:48 PM

I was excited to try these bars since they were high in protein, low in calories and fat, and for a protein bar had a decently minimal list of ingredients. The flavor was pretty good. I got the nut taste before really tasting the coconut so the coconut part of the bar is not overwhelming as coconut flavor can be. You see the nuts and coconut flakes which is nice, no surprises as to what you are eating. But my jaw got a workout while eating it. It probably took me a good 5 to 10 minutes to gnaw through the sucker and at the end it felt like I had been chewing gum for 24 hours straight. It also kept me full surprisingly long (about 3 hours) as the bars really aren't that big...probably 3/4 the size of a builder bar (if not less)and much slimmer. In addition to the fact the proteins are isolates which are suppose to be absorbed faster. I'm going to assume that the large amounts of fiber played a big role in the fullness factor. Bottom line, good flavor but be ready for a workout.
