I was really glad to find this product from ON because I make an effort to avoid artificial ingredients when I can. I'm not fanatical about it, but I make more of an effort than most. This product has about 65% more calories than artificially sweetened shakes, due to the use of natural sugar, but I have a smaller body type (5'9", ~158lbs) so the extra calories don't bother me. I definitely use them. I've tried the chocolate and vanilla flavors so far. The chocolate I thought was excellent, the vanilla was good, but a little weaker when mixed the way I mixed the chocolate. Still, it certainly wasn't "work" to get it down like some shakes can be. I've had their HydroBuilder product in strawberry and that was the very best testing shake I've ever had! If they can duplicate that taste in the strawberry shake for the Oats & Whey product line, it's the one to get! The Hydrobuilder line does, however, use artificial sweeteners though, so the same taste may not carry over. As far as effectiveness goes, I saw great results with Oats & Whey. I built a considerable amount of lean muscle over the course of the container and my strength gains were rapid! I had no digestive issues or upset stomach, but the extra fiber WILL help keep you regular...and I know you know what I mean. My only gripe is that the Oats & Whey product seems to only be available in a 3 pound size. I'd buy a 5 pound-er if I could! I have no professional affiliation with DPS Nutrition, or Optimum Nutrition, nor was I a product tester. I'm just a regular guy who spent his own money on this stuff. I recommend you try it!
